We here at Richard Lawson are delighted to see that the Mitsubishi Outlander has just been voted the most reliable Large SUV in What Car? magazine’s 2017 Reliability Survey.

In both petrol PHEV and diesel guises the ever-popular SUV triumphed in the annual survey after the leading automotive title polled over 14,200 owners on the reliability of their new cars. A total of 169 cars and 32 brands were included in the survey.

Additionally, the survey also revealed Mitsubishi to be the runner-up most reliable brand overall.

Richard Lawson said: “The Mitsubishi Outlander is one of our most popular models – especially the petrol PHEV – and we’re delighted that the survey officially recognises what we and our customers already know. For anyone who’s considering a large SUV, the Outlander’s exceptionally hard to beat and this result means it’s now even more attractive, proving to be more reliable than vehicles from premium brands that cost twice as much.

“Over 75 per cent of the Mitsubishi Outlander drivers polled were customers of the petrol PHEV, which is a great indication of how dependable the brand’s advanced hybrid technology is.”

Since its introduction in 2013, the Mitsubishi Outlander diesel has become renowned for being a great all-rounder with an impressive blend of space, comfort, dependability and driving dynamics, while the award-winning petrol PHEV is the UK’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle – an accolade it has held for three years – with over 30,000 examples now on the UK’s roads.
